Scriptlance is one of the top freelance sites on the internet. It is totally free to join this freelance website. Unlike GAF, there is no gold membership at SL [Scriptlance]. Everyone [whether it’s a new comer or the oldest programmer at SL] is treated equally: that is: there is no limit on the number of bids that programmers can place on jobs at SL.

I am using the word programmer: what does it means?

The people who are looking for online jobs at GAF are called service providers. At some other freelance sites, they may be called something else. At SL: people who want to make money online via doing online jobs, are called programmers.

Registering at SL:

It is very easy to get registered at SL. Just open the site and click on “Programmers”. You can see this option on the top menu of the website.

Here I would like to tell everyone a very important thing:

At other freelance sites like GAF, there is only one type of registration. That is: no matter who you are or who you want to be [either a buyer or a service provider], the registration process will be the same at GAF.

But at SL, buyers and programmers have different types of registrations. So if you are looking to do online jobs at SL then you will choose programmers type of registration and if you are looking to outsource jobs to people at SL then you will choose buyers account registration.

After you click on “Programmers”: you will see a new page being opened. Now scroll down a little to see an option “Sign Up”.

Click on it and you will see a registration form. Do not hurry in filling out the form. Be patient and fill out the fields in the form professionally.

Make a good looking profile. Mentioned your qualifications [if any] and experiences [if any].

After registration: it is time to start placing bids on projects. Login at SL. You will be able to see a list of projects on the left hand side of the screen. Below this list you will see a link saying “View All”. Click on it and you will see all the latest projects that are posted at SL.

Look for job titles to see which job, you can do. You can also search for projects in different categories.

If you find a interesting title, click on it. This will open the project and there you will be able to see all the details about the project. Read all the provided details. If you think that, you can do the work, then look for the link that will say “Place Bid”.

Click on it.

Your Bid:

Here you will enter the amount of money for which you are willing to do the job. In the beginning of freelance career, one have to work for low rates in order to build some reputation at freelance sites.

Delivery Time:

Here you will enter the amount of time you need to complete the job.

Bid Details:

I suggest you write something like “Please Check PM” in this box.

Now click on place bid and after the bid is placed, come back to the project description page and then click on “View Project Message Board”.

Remember:

You have to send a PM to the buyer for every project where you place a bid. Sending PM is the most important thing we must all do.

In message board, click on Post Message.

You need to send a professional looking PM to the buyer. You need to get the buyer’s attention in a positive way so that he awards the project to you.

After sending the PM, looks for other jobs and see if you find any other interesting jobs. Place Bid, send PM and then wait for the reply from the buyers.

Remember:

You have to place bids on projects that you can actually complete. There are many people, who make a common mistake of placing bids on projects that they fail to complete. If this happens, then you will say goodbye to your online jobs career and to your online make money dream.

When a person fails to complete the job correctly and in the given time, the project is then entered into arbitration.

In result of arbitration, the losing party gets a bad rating.

One bad rating is enough to end up the career for you [if you are a new comer] at SL or at any other freelance site.

If a buyer is interested in your bid, then he/she may contact you. You will get a email when buyer replies to your PM.

Read the buyer’s PM and reply accordingly. Do not make any mistakes and do not act like immature person.

If you are able to convince the buyer that you are the one for the job, then the buyer may award the job to you. If this happens, you will then get a email, which will state that, you just won a project at SL.
